Storing your hand guns

I haven't had any issues using bore stores + silica packets in the safe. Do any of you guys periodically apply silicon spray to the bore stores or have you just left it alone?

I have some of these and a rechargeable dehumidifier in my safe...



I don't case any of my guns. Too often the cases will attract and contain moisture which leads to corrosion. Cleaned, exterior lightly oiled and put up on vinyl coated racks have worked well for my handguns for decades

I'm cheaper and just have some dishracks from wallyworld (I think, maybe target?) Anyways, they aren't as nice because they aren't purpose specific but I can throw two pistols between each divider and I don't mind if they rub eachother a bit. The few nicer blued guns I have go on their own little shelves.

I do need to bet some bore stores though so I can stuff more rifles in the safe and not worry and them rubbin up against each other.

i store the factory boxes/cases separate from the guns. none of my guns are stored "inside" of anything... other than the safe; they are stored openly inside the safe.

i keep a Godenrod inside the safe.

I'm 2 blocks from the beach, so I use a decent coat of Ballistol and a heavy duty pack of silica gel in the safe. Never had any issues!
