I am using Heinie tritium sights (Slant Pro Qwik 8) on my Commander, the stock Novak sights on my XSE, and TruGlow 3-dot tritium sights on my Glock 23. I have to admit that I acquired my Commander with a .125" Heinie rear notch without the tritium insert and without the white outlined front sight, and it was close to useless for me. That should be considered a match shooting setup IMO. But changing to the white outlined, tritium front, and the single dot tritium rear with a .156" notch, I actually like the Heinie sights better than the 3 dot setup.

Looks great - I will not pay $129 for plastic sights though - thats ridiculous!Best handgun sight in the world:
Drop-in for Glocks, custom-fit for anything else right now.
You don't have to worry about focusing them. Total non-issue - because they're meant to be used *without* focusing on the front sight. You focus on the target, leave these blurry, they still work.

Thompson 1911 sight replacement
Hi I'm new here and have a question I'm having no luck with. I have an older 1911 Thompson that I'm upgrading just a bit. I've googled a little bit and found a sight called the GI, that will supposedly work with my slide. I am looking at a Trijicon Tritium GI Night Sight I found online. I know that 1911's can vary a bit based on the make. I just want to know for sure, will these "GI" sights I'm looking at fit on my Thompson or should I be looking for something else. Any help out there would be greatly appreciated.Comment

I also use Dawson Fiberoptic Front Sights with these on my 1911's. I use the Truglo Sights on my HD Glock, since I wouldn't use my 1911's for that purpose.Originally posted by BumslieHK - the best 600 dollar gun, 900 dollars can buy.Originally posted by SleighterGetting legal advice from a gun salesman, is like getting medical advice from a janitor at a hospital. where'd you get this at? this might be the one.I've tried night sights (slow), plain sights (hard to focus), painted signs (rubs off after awhile), fiber optic sights (not durable)...
None of them have have been better to me than a simple gold bead and plain black, serrated rear sight. Fast, bright and durable. I have them now on all my guns.

Never mind just found them, they're 10-8 performance cuz it says so on the pic
but they don't have the huge beaded front sight though...
