Hi there fellow Calgunners. I recently purchased a sig 226 stainless 9mm. It was on sale for $899 at a local gun shop. They did not have any in stock so I'll have to wait a week or 2 before the background, check after the downpayment. The waiting period has given me the option to make sure this was the right purchase. Such at the black ovens stainless, price, etc... Any feedback would help. Thank you.

The time to ask if it's a good price is before you buy it. After you buy it, asking if you got a good deal is pointless. I never ask about price once I buy something. If you got a good deal, that's nice, but if someone points out you could have got it for $50 cheaper, you will regret asking.
As tbc said, if you like it, and you were willing to pay the price for it, then it's a good deal. Things are worth what you are willing to pay for it, not what other people paid for it. (ie; housing)==================

This is a perfect time to ask. I have a 1-2 weeks before I decide if I want to finalize the purchase. The Sig was not in stock so I have to wait for them to receive it before I can start the background check. Down payment is 100% percent refundable. The time to ask if it's a good price is before you buy it. After you buy it, asking if you got a good deal is pointless. The factory grips just don't fit a gun of this class do they? LOL I'm picking up the rosewood grips for my 226 stainless soon courtesy of my grandma for my birthday.

The rosewood w/ black or stainless IMO one of the most beautiful guns to date.
