I keep the guns in the pistol rugs that are supplied. There are a hundred ways you could do it, but this is just the way I do it. I usually carry 3-6 hand uns with me. I use sleeves for my guns to keep them from getting sratched all up.

I wanted something that does not scream "GUN!" and ended up using an older Husky 3-drawer metal toolbox.
Liners in the drawers keep the pistols where they are supposed to stay and I can easily fit two pistols plus 8 mags into one drawer.
While the box could hold six handguns, I usually use one drawer for some extra tools in case a student needs to tighten up screws or needs a cleaning rod. That drawer also holds my teaching gear such as training knives, yellow barrel, snap caps and similar.
The top compartment hinges open and holds ammo, stapler, etc. Granted, I'm not currently reloading. The box does not have a good provision to keep spent brass. For that I'd probably bring my Dillon reloader's bag.

It seems to me that the 5.11 and the Midway Competition bag are practically identical.

I have the Midway. They were on sale for $39.99 last month, and i figured if i was gonna buy on the website i would just order my cleaning supplies and some extra pistol rugs at the same time.

Currently, it can hold my kimber custom II, my gsg1911, at least a thousand .22lr, three hundred .45, 4 sets of ears, 2 sets of eyes, 20 pistol magazines, a staple gun, a small toolkit and a liter of water.

I agree with the above posters though. Only complaint is that I wish i could lock it.

I've used a few range bags (including one from the gun show that let me down when the shoulder strap un-stitched itself). I'm currently using the Midway Competition bag and am loving it so far. Good value, great features, and durable.

Gusseted in all the right places, thick heavy duty material, and a TON of storage. It actually comes with a mini bag inside of it along with 2 pistol rugs, a shell holder, a drink holder, and an offset strap so it sits on your shoulder really well when you're full of gear. I can hold 6 pistols pretty comfortably and enough ammo to start a swat team with it. Its just an awesome bag and its only $39 or so right now on www.midwayusa.com

Another pic all closed up. Looks a bit more discreet, but still a gun bag.
I have the same exact one! Its a quality bag for sure and I love it.

My range bag is a voodoo tactical 36 inch rifle bag. Stores:2 rifles, 2 handguns, ear muffs, glasses, gloves, sling, tagets, pistol and rifle magazines, table top tripod and scope, and it locks.
                Hau!
