Any comments about this glue-on rail for a 1911

With an aluminum frame, glue-on appears to be my best option to add a rail.

any comments on this one? any alternative I should look at?

Either buy another 1911 that has a rail or pick up an accessory rail that can be mounted to your gun and then taken off later. Something like this: http://www.surefire.com/MR07-Mounting-Rail

BTW, why do you want a rail? If you need a light, look into the Crimson Trace lightguard for 1911s. Those are very nice.

I had a clipdraw that used the VHB tape, it sticks and wont come off unless you remove it with a thin flat tool. And it wont damage your gun, however it does move side to side a bit , So I would not suggest using it with a rail.

with a rail i have more options of lights. The lightguard is another on my list to consider, though...
