does CCI make a round with alumminum case? I bought a 100 rounds of one with silver casing, not yellow brass and hollowpoint. They might have been the stingers (are those different brand) but I'm positive they were CCI.
Anyway, I hear alumminum casings can't be reloaded since they expand more quickly than brass and are basically dangerous and too brittle to reload. (not that i'm so cheap I'd reload .22) But I had the most problems with the CCI.
1. fail to feed due to the hollow points getting stuck in at the top of the feed ramp.
2. most of the problems with the CCI were ejection problems. it would only come out half way so it looked like a fail to feed. I'd forward assist it then it wouldn't fire. Take it out and it was empty.
I looked at one closely and it looked like the casing had expanded/buldged in the back and the part that was still in the barrel was normal so it looked like a necked casing.
When they did fire it was great. Big muzzle flash and nice little kick to it. Does CCI make one withOUT hollow points and brass casing. Anyone else have this problem?
