Did your GSW hurt for a while, even after it was healed? Mine did, just, now and then. A sharp stabbing sorta pain like it was reminding me. Maybe it was psychological. I just wonder.

Hasn't hurt for years now but there was a time where it would come back like a memory.
Mine felt similer...kinda like you said little stabbings mostly in the thick muscle areas...still can get it to feel like that if I flex hard enough with one thigh...two years since I took my 9mm medicine

        Not biting. It depends...

I'd rather have a flesh wound from a .45 than a 9mm between the eyes.

        YMMV

Depends on if I deserved to be shot or not

            Really?

Common sense says none of the above. Wow, just wow.

I've been shot, it isn't fun. All the listed calibers can kill in one shot to center of mass. All can be survived. It is a matter of luck and speed of medical attention.

Mostly luck decides if you end up on a silver slab or in a surgery ward.
I agree. I too have been shot. I only lived because I was so close to GREAT medical treatment.

For the record: I was hit in the neck by a .45. I think it was a ricochet. The 4 family members with me at the time think it was a direct shot (not a ricochet). The full story

Reminds me when i went to a mini-match in SD. This border patrol was in and he was using a S&W snub nose in 500S&W believe me when i tell you. You dont have to get hit by it to be put out of your misery. The thing is a frickin hand cannon. Miss or hit you will go down and probably be out.

Wow, Curtis. I am glad you are alive. That was a very close call by the story.

I don't think it was a direct shot, 45 acp tends to skid on bone or shatter it at close range direct shots. As a ricochet that is one hell of one.

I hope they can remove the bullet some day. Never good to have something pressing on the spine like that.

This poll does not make any sense, what single round, then you list three calibers, and duplicate them in different orders WTF?

I'd want to be shot once by James Bond holding a .32 PPK, and hopefully he's got the shakes because it has been 5 minutes since his last vodka martini...

I'm just wondering if .22lr had been offered how many would choose it first?
