Ok, so you expect the gun to do this, except it's really not suppose to and the one time you expect it to happen and it doesn't is when you're using the gun in defense. You think the slide closed when you slammed in the mag, but it didn't this time and you don't train to hit the mag release. You pull the trigger, no bang because you didn't release the slide. Still think it's a feature that can save your life?

Are you using the newer Sig factory mags that are marked made in the USA?

I am calling sig tomororw. I will report back.
Were you able to get in touch with someone at Sig?

          What did they say?

For HD, i only use my blued mags. I know that i can replicate "bump reload" anytime with my blued mags. I'm not advocating anybody else put their life on the line for what I think might be a "cool" feature. Everyone is welcome to differ on opinions. And if the slide doesn't close? It only seems logical I 'll have to close the slide manually with my thumb.

So to answer your question. Yes, I still think it's a cool feature that could save MY life.

Edit: I figure if i have to reload (because we are talking about "bump reloading" my HD gun is always loaded) after letting off 10 rounds in a HD situation, I'd have bigger problems than hitting the mag release. If 10 rounds isn't sufficient for a home intrustion situation then...i'm probably ded!
