    I
have not stepped foot into Wild Sports for the last two years because of their horrible customer service. They have some great deals, but I will not hand over a dime to them.
same here. I'm a long way from both their store and the Gun Room in Elk Grove and i drive to elk grove every time.

Ended up probably paying more, but I felt much better giving my $ to someone else.
Did you have an updated car registration?

I couldn't find the newest one in my car. I had one that was valid up until a month ago. So I guess I can see why they didn't like it.

I was just upset that they were pushing the hunting/fishing license so much.

I've always thought that Wild Sports sucked! The only thing that I'll buy from them is ammo on their coupon deals.

If I see a gun that I want (in their add), I just take their add to another dealer and tell them how much I hate Wild Sports and have always been given the same deal as Wild Sports sells for..

              That's a nice suggestion Slick.
              Thanks!

***k Wild Sports, buncha dicks in there. I used to buy ammo there all the time(PMC 223 for $4), but they just act holyier than thou when you'd like to see something outta the case that they think is inferior, XD was bottom feeder crap and I should buy a Kimber if I want a real mans gun.

My feelings exactly! DOJ should set-up a sting operation on Wild Sports in Orangevale.

I also will not buy from them.
Not worth going there and getting upset about their bad attitude towards customers.

Wow! I just went through the same hassle there a week ago. They said that the proof of residency requirements are different for Federal and State...whatever. I just went to the DMV and got an updated registration card printed out - couldn't pass up a new M&P 40 for $399.00!

Oh and one more thing...they do definitely pass around other bad info. "Shinfo" (sh***y info) as one of my favorite bands calls it. I've heard them tell customers how illegal OLLs are and how sooo many people have been busted for having them, "but I have these great Kel-Tec SU-16s on sale for only $550"...I try to jump in whenever I hear that!

It's hard to bash any business that's trying to sell us firearms... but every time I've bought at WildSports the paperwork has taken waaaaaaay longer than it should and they've just not been very helpful or friendly. My most recent pickup this week (all docs in order) took about 45 minutes and they were extremely grumpy about having to deal with it.

That being said... I live in Elk Grove and I just can't afford to shop at The Gun Room even if they offered super-quick and friendly service!

I hope this isn't off topic, but I just bought a M&P45 from Canyon Sports at their sale and the paperwork and DROS was like a factory assembly line, quick and efficient. I had all my paperwork in order and it only took 15 minutes because of all the people in there buying guns ahead of me.
Seriously, last week I rode up to Wild Sports to buy a M&P45 for their advertised price of $449, and was told they were sold out. Sounded reasonable, but by the way the guy at the counter talked and acted, I got the feeling he was just saying that to avoid having to deal with me. With the cost of gas at $3.25 and my bike getting 52 miles per gallon, I would only save $25 by buying at Wild Sports compared to the deal I got today at Canyon sports, and to me, the savings aren't worth it.
