In the quote you re-posted:
I don't have the heart to neuter mine, so I don't get to shoot it except for Reno trips. I'm thinking about getting a second barrel to remove the threads on so I can actually assemble my pistol for use in CA.

Pfft, No LAM!!!!!!!!I LOVE my Mark 23. Its a huge pistol. Like, REALLY huge but its lots of fun to shoot. The desert eagle is really the only thing I can think of that is of equivalent size.
Recoil is very light. I've never found 1911s to be hard hitters, but this certainly kicks way less than any 1911 I've fired. Magazines are insanely expensive, but then again, anything associated with this particular handgun is expensive.
I've wanted one for a while and had to jump through a lot of hoops to get a new one. They recently ceased production of the Mark 23, so new ones are hard to come across in general. I paid zero for mine, but I also got the hook up from my best friend as a graduation gift. Expect to pay $2300+ for one in CA, these are not easily or cheaply acquired.

I can honestly say most people are better served by the USP than the Mark 23. You get more features, less weight, and less size for WAY less $$$. However, if you are like me and this is your dream gun, then go for it! I absolutely HAD to have a Mark 23, and I'll always think of it as my favorite and best handgun.

Can is a fake one made by MFI for the MK 23. I have to keep the pistol disassembled in CA due to the threaded bbl.So being a resident of CA, how do you do the can?
There are many MK 23 compatible suppressors. Mine is a replica of the one made by KAC.Either fake or not from CA. But the can I know is rectangle, not round.
Money don't grow on treesPfft, No LAM!!!!!!!!
Way more cost effective for the same performance
Besides, those $1000+ LAMs are no longer made for the MK 23 so if they break you are out of luck and the only ones I've ever seen for sale are second hand units.

You really do not know the legalities involved in a suppressor do you glocklover?
A threaded barrel has nothing to do to being able to legally own a suppressor. They are two very distinct different issues.
Looks like YOU get the facepalm for not knowing such a very basic aspect...............
In fact you get another...
Thank you for answering my question snake.Comment
