    UAE CARACAL?

I saw the shot show 2012 vid that was demoing the UAE gun. The Caracal I think it was called. Does anyone who has served in that region have any experience with these. The modular system was impressive. Chime in if you have any first hand experience

    I'm interested too.

I was able to shoot a couple at SHOT Media day and was very impressed. Even more so after talking to the designer. But, it's going to be a while before I get one to T&E

Here's a link to another thread on this gun:

        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Really? I think it looks more like a Steyr M

BTW both guns were designed by the same guy.

I've been fascinated with the Caracal since last year. I doubt it'll make it to CA though. No 10 round mags that I know of, not enough interest to jump through the hoops to make it on the roster either. The one thing that really stuck out with the Caracal is that for a polymer gun, it actually has a pretty long rail on the frame for the slide. Designers say it adds stability and accuracy. How much this actually plays in, I have no clue.

                Yes that was Wilhelm Bubits

Their head guy at SHOT Christian Ziehe told me they were submitting a couple to the CA DOJ for the roster...they understand how large the CA market is (I made a point of stressing it to them)

Here is a quick impression of them on the range

...and also of the QAS system here
