meathead: you are correct, too many variables to be anything more than anecdote. The one time that I was able to make a comparison, it biased to the .357. My personal opinion on the matter is that the .357 bullets weren't quite as stoutly constructed and expanded in an uncontrolled fashion resulting in some fragmentation that hit something or some things that were important and got the lethality edge. Could have just as easily been a fluke but the fact of the matter that not one of you has managed to successfully debate a counterpoint to is: my glock 20 turns in groups that are 2-3 times the size of my Dan Wesson 15-4VH and that's more than sufficient reason for me to prefer it.
The vastly better trigger pull, better sights, and a host of other features also stack against the glock. In theory a glock can jam... my DW won't probably ever have that issue. Still... all you'd have to do to get me to endorse the glock option as flatly superior is to make the trigger pull as awesome as a revolver and to make it as accurate as my revolver.
