Is Beretta 92 FS trigger better than Glock? since it is Double/Single action? and also is it accurate because 92FS is 4.9 inch vs 4.49 on Glock 17?

Please advice, can't get both. Can have only one

    Thanks
Sell your kidneys and purchase both weapons.

But returning to the purpose of this thread, it would be wise for you to get your hands on both pistols and see how they hold in your paws. Accuracy is defined with firearms as the ability to hit what you aim at. If you cannot grip a weapon you will not be able to handle it properly which in turn impairs your ability to use the weapon to hit what you aim at.

Take a Beretta 92 and a Glock 17 and evaluate in person how both weapons fit your hand. Whichever pistol is more comfortable to hold with the weapon aligned with the shooting arm is the better choice. My personal preference between the two firearms will not be stated as my hands and arms likely are not the same size as yours.

Good luck in the shopping experience and please update us on the outcome of your search.

Are these the only two choices?

I know you aren't asking for alternatives, but still, I must mention the CZ-75b and the Browning Hi Power. OK, carry on now.

+1 on the CZ 75b. Hogue makes a wraparound grip with finger grooves that is really awesome. Better price too.

          I have both.

          I prefer the Glock 17 or 19.

The triggers are just fine. Both are accurate and reliable. Less money, so buy a Glock 17 and a Glock 26 for carry in the future.

Honestly no I haven't. But I have used a GlockWorx Skeletonized Striker and it malfunctioned regularly. It dragged somewhere where it wouldn't reset the trigger. After that, I never looked at anything else from GlockWorx.

I usually say,,, you will have to try both and find out which one works the best for you.

It seems to me that the two options are really too different to compare. I would think you would need to decide on purpose and necessity to make the best choice. Just my $0.02

Hate the 92. Heavy, long DA trigger pull, safety is upside down, its fat, no sight replacement. 92 is a 5-10K round gun, after that something always fails, usually the lugs. Glocks just keep running.

                        I already have a 1911 :-)

After reading all the responses, i am leaning towards Glock 17.

I just sold my XD9, that i want to replace with G17 or 92FS. There's nothing wrong with XD, its an excellent gun no malfunctions at all.
I just want to try something different.

Riflegear.com has G17 for $499, Can i find it cheaper than that at any other place?

                        Thanks

Just pointing this out the XD9 and the 1911 have the same grip angle, Glock does not. I was never fond of the XD's for MANY reasons but if you want something to replace your XD - ergonomically the 92FS would be more it's equal than the Glock.

That's about the best deal you're gonna find not counting GSSF or LEO/MIL discounts.

I highly encourage you to find a range that rents pistols and shoot both the 17 and the 19. The minor difference in size gives them a slightly different feel and many people prefer one over the other. Personally I'm starting to like the 19 better than the 17.

Lets compare G17 and Beretta 92FS w/o CA factor.

Glock 17 will last longer, same trigger pull everytime ,magazines hold 17 and 33 rds, has A LOT of aftermarket options,VERY easy to repair.

Beretta 92FS is SUPER reliable (even if You limp wrist the gun, not so with a Glock), has 15/17/30rd factory magaziones,VERY easy to shoot fast, has DA pull for the first shot ( a plus is some situations).

                              Both are great.

One of my favorite on/off duty pistols are my Beretta 92G and Glock 17.

For the record , after firing thousands of rounds with both, I have never had to clear a jam with a Beretta 92FS.

Another reason to go with the Glock. The safety on the 92FS is backwards from a 1911 (up is off, down is on).
