Even though I'm not an XD fan(of any model) I'm down.
I have nothing against SA, and I would like those that are SA fans to get the products they ask for.
Like I said, it may prompt others to fill produce them more regularly.Sub2k 9mm and Buckmark Rifle for sale:Originally posted by Huey Freeman

I thought it was already announced at SHOT show that Springfield was already planning on doing a XD-S in 9mm and .40 this year, but came out with the .45 version first.
I think the XD-S 9mm would be their answer to a Bodyguard 9mm. Although, with how the market and industry is moving towards these days (very high emphasis on personal protection & defense), if a gun company wants to stay ahead of the game then they're going to need more 'pocket' pistols in various calibers to fill that demand.Comment

but... but... welll, um.... you win
The only downside is the cylinder on an N frame is pretty wide and the overall dimensions are quite a bit larger, making it harder to conceal than a subcompact pistol.
How do you like magnum loads out of it? Seems like it would be brutal.Comment

With my loads: When the gun fires, it feels like your hand just exploded. You see a giant flash of light and flame where your hand once was. A few moments later your hand magically reappears. Times 6.but... but... welll, um.... you win

A 9mm version is coming (and I've read elsewhere a .40 version is also coming):What pressure? Springfield doesn't offer a single stack 9 or 40 in polymer, either.
I'm very glad to see them do it, and they look like superb offerings, but the XDS is a refined Glock 36, just as the XDm 5.25 is a refined Glock 34. They'll have some effect on Glock's sales, but I doubt it will be enough to inspire Glock to change very much.

As a die-hard revolver fan, I'm starting to see the light on the slimmer semi-autos for carrying now that I have a CCW... The revolvers are alot harder to conceal.but... but... welll, um.... you win

i dont understand this whole striker position indicator, or even chamber indicator.... its your gun, if you don't know if you have a round loaded, you don't deserve to own or even handle a gun. if someone else handles my gun, and they don't know how to check, or treat it as if it were loaded. they don't deserve to own or handle either.Comment

They are there to make people feel good that they have a gun with "safety features.". They aren't necessary at all.i dont understand this whole striker position indicator, or even chamber indicator.... its your gun, if you don't know if you have a round loaded, you don't deserve to own or even handle a gun. if someone else handles my gun, and they don't know how to check, or treat it as if it were loaded. they don't deserve to own or handle either.Comment
