Never been a big fan of lights mounted on guns. This is another reason why I won't be getting one. I'll stick to using a flashlight in one hand and pistol in the other.

id like to use my hand for other things, like adjusting my jock while i have my gun pointed at someone. rather than holding a light, while i press a bluetooth button on my ear to call whataburger for a large burger and fries.

        Get a surefire.

If you really think you are at risk of getting in a gunfight, I'm thinking your TLR-1 issues are the least of your worries.

Yea, I'm not huge on them either. Its a nice thing to have just in case but its easier having a light on one and pistol in the other, and people would hear me say that and say how the hell is that easier? If you know how to do it its worth it, and its nice being able to separate the light from the pistol without having to undo the thing from the rail.

But theres a time and a place for everything and I'd rather have the rail and no need it then not have it and need it. I like having rails on my stuff, occasionally I shoot that way, but not alot, I was brought up to hold the light.

Any suggestions on what I should do?

I still got 15 rounds left.

I tried loosening the light, but it still causing the FTB.
return that POS for repair ? Or get another gun ?

I think the answer here is simple:

                Nightvision goggles

                  I prefer both.

I put a tac light on my Kimber TLE / RL II and haven't seen anything like what you people are talking about....on the Kimber, it responds normal. Like the light isn't even there.....not sure how a light would even affect it.

I had a TLR-1 on my Glock 22 gen 3. Shot it for 2 years and I never had the problems being described here. Everything was factory on the pistol except for the tungsten guide rod I put in.

I now run a X300 on my 1911's. Never had a problem there either. Then again, if this is isolated to polymer frame guns I should never have this issue on 1911's.

Guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

Yet another reason I dont like hanging stuff on my guns. No matter how cool it looks.
