Micro Gun Vault vehicle question.

I found this mini gun safe that opens quickly with a touch. Not sure if it reads your fingerprints or how it works, but it seems pretty cool.

My question is, would it be legal to have this locked box with a loaded handgun in your car, specifically in the front of the car. Or even just a loaded mag separate from the handgun in the same box?

No loaded handguns. A loaded mag that's not in the firearm is okay. Librarian will be by with the PC shortly .

Don't keep ammo inside gun ..loaded magazine not in gun ok/ or go get your License To Carry ! I keep a round in the chamber and it fits snugly between stick shift and seat

Yes a handgun can be in the same LOCKED CONTAINER as a loaded magazine. Just dont load it into the gun.

I have the NV200, I would not suggest the NV100 for $14 if you own anything bigger than a mouse gun. My XD9 sub compact just barely fits in the NV200 with a mag inserted and a mag beside it. (Don't transport it that way, its my nightstand storage) Depending what you have and if you don't mind using a key to get to it, the NV200 is perfect. I got mine on Amazon for $20 shipped with my prime account.

BTW the one in your link takes a code that you punch in with the four buttons, no fancy fingerprint scanner on this (have yet to see a decent one in the sub $150 price range).

Its gone up slightly in price since I bought mine, I use it for the drawer safe and for transporting my 9mm to and from the range. Best buy I could find for the money.

Yes, it is even better if you wrap the cable around something like the seat frame so someone can't do a smash and grab of your mini gun safe if you chose to leave it out in the open on the passenger seat.

Wow, nice fit. Then I realized it was the sub. It is a tight fit with a compact and one mag.

i think the vanovault100 is the perfect size , unfortunately it only has keyed locks as an option which sucks compared to quicker biometric locks

i thought the 200 was a little big at first but i'll get used to it

Yeah I plan to wrap it around the frame and tuck the box under the seat. However, I don't plan on leaving a pistol there 24/7.

I want something I can open up quick while my keys are in the ignition while still following the law. Btw the NV100, looks snug with the 23, but for my G17 I might have to opt for the NV200.
