    sigma 9ve

I have a friend that had the springs changed so he could get a better trigger pull but this caused it to miss fire a lot so he put the stock springs back in.

have anyone had this problem with this handgun?

He wants to sell it and buy an xd now so if someone is interested in it let me know. Its in considement right now.

Nice racks are much better. You can grab both sides of the rack to help stabilize while mounting.

Sigmas from what I've read/heard are hit/miss. You have people who absolutely love them and people who just hate them.

For the same price he could have gotten a Ruger p95 which is a TANK but RELIABLE.

i own one and its been a great pistol. i have about 1000 rounds threw mine with out any problems so far. i sent mine back to smith and wesson and they did lighten up the trigger pull a bit. its a good shooter and i would recomend this pistol.

I have both a 40 and a 9mm Sigma and have never had a problem with either one. Of course I learned to shoot them as they are instead of trying to make them "better"...
I have found learning to shoot a DAO pistol has made me a better shooter of all my guns.

My P-95 was a pos compared to these Sigmas, but even Ruger can send out a bad one once in a while I suppose...

i would just pay $150 more and get an XD or a used glock....or possibly save $20 more and buy a new glock.

I have a 40ve I LOVE IT. 4,000+ rounds of tula ammo without nit one problem.I even did my own torture test (dropped it from 20 feet on concrete, buried in mud, thrown 40 yards, sand in it, I didn't clean it the first 1000 rounds and still functioned flawlessly. It's a great piece for the money.

Was it the striker spring in the slide or the springs in the sear housing??

I've owned my Sigma 40VE for a few years now, and while I don't have near a thousand rounds through it (maybe 300-400), its been 100% reliable with all the ammo I've tried. The Glock design works, so why wouldn't the Sigma? Its a direct and almost identical copy, so much so that Glock sued S&W over the design and won.
Proudly nestled all snugly and warm in Hillary's basket. She even made room for my bibles and guns!
