I'd probably pick up a Ruger LC9. Seems like the most comfortable and practical option for concealed carry.

If I ever did carry I sure would have level 2 retention at least on my holster.

G26 Gen 4 does sound right!

On and off duty I now carry some kind of a Glock . Gen3 9mm, Gen4 in .40 etc.

When its warm outside , I pack a thee inch S&W model 65 in .357 magnum, speedloader and a benchmade folder.

                      For urban uses, a commander 1911 with 230g cast TC @ 850fps.

                      In the woods, a 3" 629-2 with 265g cast GCSWC @ 1200fps.

Probably better choices out there, but you gotta go with what you got.

                        What to pack

Well, for dinner and a movie, a Sig P-230 SS. If I'm headed into the badlands of Los Angeles City or County, a Sig 228 usually rides nice under a light jacket. If I'm on a road trip for a day or two, I pack a HK USP 45. If I'm headed into the outback for a ride in the country, I pack a Socom 16 308 and two breakfast burritos.

Since my CA permit only allows 3 guns,
                            Most often my Kahr P45,
Next often my Ruger SP101 .357,
                            or my Glock G30 .45.

When traveling out of CA in states that honor my Utah and/or FL permits, my G19, since I can carry 15 round mags, and my mags and ammo are compatible with my wife's G26.

My trusty P6 ain't pretty, but I'll be damned if she isn't dependable.
