Don't know, but a couple of buddies are applying.
Also curious what others have to say about the UTAH ccw permit that is respected and recognized in other states. -
I have it and I have used it numerous times (Including while in Utah!) when I am traveling. I have never had a problem carrying with it. I highly recommend getting it.Last edited by Big Jake; 01-09-2012, 5:54 PM."Life Is Hard. It's Harder When You're Stupid"-John Wayne!

+1...Exactly what he said...
Just renewing both my UT & FL for the first time. Have used both for travel in UT, FL, AZ, NV(when I could), CO, NM, TX, LA, MS, AL, WY, WA.Comment

I have it. Never used it, except for when applying for my AZ permit (which they accepted the UT permit for the training requirement). Otherwise it just sits in my safe until I'm ready to travel to another state.
I've used my AZ permit quite a few times already in NV since I go to Vegas often.Comment

I started with my Oregon CHL, then got Utah and recently finished off with Arizona. I have carried in Oregon, and plan to in Nevada this year. I don't have plans to travel to Utah, but that could change, but if I do it will be handy to have.NRA Life Member

I am pretty much the same way. I have had a UT and FL for the last 5 years but after realizing both permits where no longer good in NV I decided to get my AZ. Now I am not renewing the UT or FL cause the AZ gives me everything i need,I have it. Never used it, except for when applying for my AZ permit (which they accepted the UT permit for the training requirement). Otherwise it just sits in my safe until I'm ready to travel to another state.

Only reason I have a UT permit was because of the brief time that NV honored it.
Getting it was less expensive than renewing my NV permit. So, I went and got the UT permit. A few months later, NV dropped UT.
Ended up renewing my NV permit and just wasted money getting the UT permit.
I will not be renewing my UT permit when it expires.Last edited by Quiet; 01-10-2012, 6:55 AM.sigpic

FYI.
CO does not honor the non-resident FL and the non-resident UT permits.
CO, MI, ME, NH, SC & FL requires permit holders to either be residents of the state that they honor or have a non-resident permit issued by them.sigpic

Actually I take it back..... I did consider carrying in NC when I went there for work a few months ago. However, I didn't bother taking my gun with me since it would've been more of a hassle than a perk.
Plus, I realized once I got there, most of the buildings and businesses have clearly posted signs out front that say no weapons allowed. This included my hotel, the BofA tower I was working in, TWC arena, Bobcat stadium, and pretty much any food place or small store I went into around downtown Charlotte.
I was told later by some NC residents that most businesses are like that in the state, except for a select few places like Walmart and some other mom & pop places.Comment
