    Watcha Carry?

I'm sure many, if not most of us, carry concealed. Just in case I "need" to buy a new carry piece, I am curious what you all are carrying and whether you would recommend it or not.

I hope this topic hasn't been discussed already.

I have a NV an UT CCW. It depends on what I am wearing. My NV CCW has a NAA 22Mag, Walther PPKS, Ruger SP101 .38/.357 and a 1991A1 Colt Compact. Most of the time I have the NAA 22Mag in my pocket and the PPKS in a fanny pack or Paddle Galco Slide, just can't seem to get comfortable with an IWB. I need to get my G27 and Kimber Ultra CDP II added to my NV permit. Once that is done, it will probably be the CDP II most of the time.

NV resident, so I carry every day. I have 3 pistols on my permit. The Ultra CDP is supposed to be my main carry and I really like it. But, the Kel-Tek PF-9 just slides into my hip pocket and is so easy to carry I'm using it more (read that: almost always) and more as time goes on. The P3AT is supposed to be my pocket piece when I want to be inconspicuous, but the less powerful cartridge means I only carry it now when I really need to be extra-inconspicuous.

            Hope this helps.

I live in butte county so I have a permit. I carry a HK USPc 9mm. I think I might switch to a glock 19 eventually though.

unfortunately, I can't carry in CA. But i do go to vermont every once in a while, and you don't need a permit in VT...

I have two carry guns: my CZ-82 and my Sig P229R in .40

if/when I can carry, I tend/would tend to carry the sig nowadays. Before I got the sig, my CZ fit the bill perfectly...

I'm not. Other than the largest population spheres of CA not particularly being CCW friendly, it seems like most in this thread don't even have a CCW in this state.

If you're right, then a large number would be illegally carrying in CA.

                    Somehow I doubt this.

I doubt most here carry considering this is CA and only a few select counties issue permits on a regular basis, and there are only a handful of LEO's on here.

                        I currently have a Glock 19, 26, and 30 on my CCW.

Soon it will be Glock 19, Colt Defender, and S&W 640.

I already have the 640, which is currently at Gemini Customs for some custom work. I'll get the Colt soon. I'll probably wait until both are ready to go before I change my CCW, so it only takes one trip to qualify, then to the OCSD armory for safety inspection, then to Santa Ana to change my permit.

.....Don't doubt it. You'd be surprised at how many law-abiding citizens choose to carry to protect their lives regardless of whether or not they were denied their rights. You'd also be surprised how many LEO's out there are of the mindset that if you are clean (sober/not a felon/no warrants) and you are carrying a CW that is lawfully owned by you (registered to you) without the permit, they WILL let you go on your way. Problem is, never know if one is dealing with one of these "Gems." My guess is 40-50% of LEO's are in this category. They (well, most of them) are also very well aware of OLL legality, and most have built at least one of their own!!!!!

DISCLAIMER:THE ABOVE IS PURELY SPECULATION BY ONE INDIVIDUAL!!!

I have three on my permit. KP345, Springfield GI, and Bersa Thunder Ultra Compact. I like .45s! The main carry choice (90% +of the time) is the Ruger, in a Don Hume IWB, or with the clipdraw. As it gets colder and clothing is less restrictive I will carry in the Fobus for obvious reasons of comfort.
