It seems to be somewhat stable at 8 yards, but out past 10 yards it looks like its tumbling

I was about to start a thread about about how I could do this legaly. I am not ususaly one to buba a firearm (no offense to op nothing wrong with making whatever it is that makes you happy) but building an obrez because I am pretty sure none where imported into this country is of great interest to me. obrez was a favourite weapon of commies for executions. and as such it is a much needed piece of my nagant collection.

Short barrel (as in very short ), 1 in 9.5 twist, heavy long bullet, slow rifle powder. How can it not keyhole? The bullet can't get stabilized under those conditions.

Have you tried it with the 46 grain hollow core ammo

I've only played with winchester ammo.... I need to find a place where I can shoot the good stuff

That PPSH pistol is pretty crazy.

That's an SVT with a PPSH shroud mounted.

Keyhole wounds are nasty. For a short range weapon this thing is devastating.

All pistols discharged for competition must be fired by a participant wearing a bikini.... you can wear it yourself, or you can (recommended) have an attractive stand in do your shooting for you.

I know that rifle rounds are loaded with a much slower buring powder to take advantage of the dwell time in a long barrel

Has anyone every come up with SBR loads? Ie pistol powder in a rifle cartridge designed to be fired from sub 9" barrels???
