$20 shipping+$850+around $85 tax+ FFL fee $65(is the lowest I could find), that brings us to $1020 PLUS a potential 3%($25.50) credit card fee. You didn't do bad at all.

Big +1. When i was getting my O1991 at Turners i was able to compare between a few guns of the same model before picking one. Inpsecting it and feeling the trigger are a plus when buying local.

Raptor, you didnt do bad at all. The stainless models seem to run more expensive for the blued and you got yours cheaper than a blued

You forgot to charge tax on the shipping and ffl trans fee...

funny the special combat doesnt have an undercut trigger guard or guide rod like the xse.

That's about close to what I paid at Valkyrie. Mine was $999.25 OTD.

They had a stainless XSE for $1,100 + tx, but that was back in November. Not sure if they still have it or not.

Which one do you guys prefer?

Colt 1991 Series 80 blued or Stainless? Which one is more popular? I couldnd find any SS videos on youtube all of them are blued.

They both look good. Its just one of those personal preference things. I seem to favor blued more. With the 1991s being more on the original GI look, I like the blued . On my O1991 I put some WWI style walnut grips on it. They look way better than the rosewood grips imo.

It's interesting, in some of the pics, the rollmark says "Colt" in others it says "Colts"

You did good getting a Colt...I love mine! At first I regretted not getting blued as my friend got one but then I realized the stainless is just stunning.

At first I never thought of getting a stainless gun but now I have two(well one is hard chrome). I love blued guns and I think they have the classic look but I like the fact that stainless guns don't show holster wear as bad. I can say I would take either one, or both
