If you go this route.. I'd highly recommend you get the G10 over the aluminum. I've had both on my P226s and the aluminum will chip in color.

The only thing is that its a brand new pistol dude, it doesn't need all of that. Sig can and will do the Night sight work for 20 less than that new set of pins/springs package, you might as well just send it in if you dont have a punch or tools to do it yourself, but its 50 for VIP shipping :/. Since my P226 was 20 plus years old and I had it sent in and had everything done. My Trijicons were 2 years old so I just gave them the extra 20 bucks for the Night Sights to be put in. In all honesty the Mepro's are way brighter and easier to acquire than my old ones, but at 20/25 yards it is MORE difficult to shoot without the dots being smaller.

In any case 100 bucks is less than I paid, so if its a sale/discount go for it, its worth it. I paid 200 and got a free ramp polish and they even gave me some extra stuff.

I'd get sights and lights and when you get a chance then look for a holster.
well, I might just end up buying and installing night sights for my sp2022 at the local gun shop. Then buy the TLR1 for it as well, then send my p226 for the service and new night sights. Would anyone buy used TFOs for like $40 ?

wow. g10 and aluminum grips are expensive.

Btw, when i bought my old sig, it came with hogue wrap around finger groove grips, made the gun feel awkward and made it look so fugly.

G10s are very durable and I really like the way they feel.. but yea.. expensive.

PS: You really like deeming things fugly, don't you? hahaha.

I have the E2 kit. It's a great accessory and fits the hand very well. The grips are stippled aggressively and they are much slimmer than the normal grips.

For holsters, I would go with a custom made kydex holster.

Give the guys at www.psholsters.com an email and tell them Kurt sent you. They are very friendly and easy to deal with.

These are way better and dont have the huge price tag. http://www.opticsplanet.net/hogue-mo...226-26010.html.

I liked the G10, but had issues with them. There great looking though, but this texture is great and it fits well with no finger gooves!

Yea, the Sig service package is only meant for high round counts, these things last forever budd. But if your P226 is way older then the extra 20 bucks and get night sights thrown in is a win win.

I just think that rubber makes p226 feel so cheap when they cost almost 1k brand new . I honestly think that sigs are sexy, even the new railed ones.

I might just do that, I should have done more reasearch before getting those TFOs (they cost me $80 with installation)

Yea YMMV, there are plenty of OEM and third party options for Sigs. I just found that texture is better than the old checkered ones. I bought some stock OEM current line ones after they worked on it after being told by someone they would work. They dont, they split when the hammer goes completely back. I'd stick with the stock grips, Hogue or G10. But theres plenty.

I think you need a new hobby, perhaps shoes or wristwatches. No roster worries.

thanks, I'm probably gonna suck it up and buy the g10s, (e2 grips cost $60 anyways)

I purchased a holster that's ambidextrous and has extra mag pouch from walmart for $20. Fits pretty good on my pro.
