you already got your answer here.

But, I wanted to offer some info.

I bought nylon brushes (hoppes makes them) because they are less harmful to the barrel in the fact that you do not have to go all the way through one side before returning the brush through the barrel again. If you do not go all the way through you can hurt the barrel of your gun (this info from the hoppes pdf on their website about cleaning guns)

Also, scrubbing too much is just not necessary. When you do use FMJ ammo, you may find that you have a little copper fouling. Hoppes9 will take care of that, but dont stress if you have a little copper still in the rifling.

DO NOT over oil your gun. You will know you are over oiling it if you go the range and there is a lot of oil seeping out of the crevices of the revolver after shooting it a few times. OVER OILING DESTROYS GUNS.

other than that I think your tracker is a nice gun! I prefer Smith and wesson products because of low odor. Hoppes9 has a major odor, but it works the best in my opinion, not that there is not other good product out there, find one you like.

I am like you, OCDing about everything with the new gun untill I can get answers. It turns out that it is not rocket science. Very simple.

But, learn what a squib load is and learn to recognize what your gun feels and sounds like when you use it. learn what you can to be safe and not blow your hand(s) off.

        P.S.

After a while, say.... about 600 rounds or less, your barrel will not look brand new. That is just my opinion. So, take pictures to remember how awesome your gun looked on the inside
Unless you are letting some bore cleaner sit in the barrel, I think cleaning a gun should only take 30 mins or less. But, maybe i should just shut up because cleaning your gun is your business.

A clean barrel is not like a clean car; it does not have to be spotless and shiny. Please go easy with that brush since excessive cleaning causes wear
