So I have a 25th Anniversay Glock 17 Gen4 on hold right now. But the last couple of days I've been debating on cancelling it to get a SA Trophy Match 1911. G17 25th Anniversary is $749 and the SA Trophy Match is about $1250. The difference is not an issue. My thing is do I keep the G17 cuz it's limited to 2500 made or get the Trophy Match?? What do you guys think? Thanks in advance for your feedbacks.

If price isn't an issue get both.

The only reason why I even considered the G17 25th is because of the rarity of it. Other than that, I'd much rather get the 1911. Although the TRP Operator is my 1st 1911 but I definitely love shooting it. Maybe I'll just go with my gut feeling and stick with the Trophy Match. F the rarity and get something I'll enjoy shooting.sigpicComment

Sir I didn't say price was an issue. The difference was not an issue. LOL.. Unless you want to donate.
Looks like I might have to call my LGS and tell them to switch to the Trophy Match.

Once you shoot that Glock it becomes another Glock. The only reason why I even considered the G17 25th is because of the rarity of it. Other than that, I'd much rather get the 1911. I can't imagine the Glock going up in value in the next 10 years.Comment

As much as I like glocks I think the 1911 is a better purchase. It will hold its value better than the glock and hoowee is that glock ugly which is why I think it will be just another glock in a few years.
Sorry no donations. I have a nice Remington rand 1911 I have my eye on.
Thanks

TM will hold it's value better (on a resale), unless you can get the Glock 25th much cheaper.
Or unless the Glock's factory color is anything but black
Glock 20th anniversary, don't think the prices are going up, so I think the same will be for the 25th, price will not rocket up.
Willing to bet, they will make a 30th anniversary.Comment

Sell me the Glock for $500 and you can use my donation to the SA Trophy Match.
Ha!
But seriously, it all depends on what type of "gun" guy you are. I'm a Glock guy and I'd totally jump on the Commemorative Glock. I would care less for 1911, but I do have a Rock Island in mind.
Oh, congrats on the Glock!
