Sig DAK

I have a Sig P229 DAK in .40 and I enjoy it. The original trigger felt extremely long, so I swapped it out for the shorter trigger. It took some time to get used to it, but I have grown to enjoy it.

Ugh, 3 FFL's and no Sig Daks let alone Sigs in. Bad luck up here in Norcal :/. I may just have to go down south to try one out/rent.

My friend and I have P226 DAK's. His is .40 and mine is .357 sig. When my wife first got her hands on it, she said "hey the trigger pull is very long". It is really long, but smooth. One issue is the reset is funny, I prefer to let the trigger go back to full release after shooting. The reason is if you let it go to the minimum reset point, it will have a higher weight trigger pull.

Yea, I read some people were liking the way taht works though. I dont mind giving it a go. If I didnt like it ( I have a feeling I will like it), then I could convert back, no harm no foul. I still like there DA/SA pistols alot.

I picked up my Sig P229 DAK in 357sig earlier this month put 200 rounds through it with no problems. For me the trigger took me a few shots to get used to the long trigger pull but the 6.5lbs trigger weight felt more like 4lbs cause its so smooth. By the end of the day I shot it just as good as my other guns.

That's why I sold all my DAO's, the trigger pull was long. The guns were great-- reliable and accurate but double taps were difficult.

Wow lucky! I mean I'm bummed ya dont like any of them, let me know if you ever wanted to sell one of the DAKS!
