as much as i like the idea, and i would KILL for a Thunder Five, there's not a whole lot of a point to a .410 revolver...

about the only useful purpose of a Judge or Thunder-5 is use as a snake gun. But then again, you can get snakeshot for just about any caliber. Against the bigger, two legged creatures, i wouldn't want to trust my life to a .410...

No. It's illegal to even possess, since CA considers it an SBS. It's not just an "off-roster" handgun.

Oopps sorry I gave wrong info... the Thunder-five had a .45-70 cylinder in the gun (which can be PPT) but came with spare .410/45lc cylinder (which is legal to posses in CA, as-long as you don't put this cylinder in the Thunder-five frame).

If you possess or have control of both the barrel/cylinder and the frame you are in violation of the law. They don't have to be assembled. There is a section in the penal code covering constructive possession of the components to a short barrel shotgun.

Uhh, no a .410 revolver is NOT banned by PC 12276.1. Please reread the quote you posted for clarification.

You may want to re-read it. Only those first four features apply to the semiauto shotguns. The final feature (revolving cylinder) is stand alone and illegal in and of itself. The action is irrelevant.

Hunter, the relevent part of pc12276.1 is the bit about a shotgun with a revolving cylinder.

However since a shotgun is defined as a shoulder fired long arm, Its arguable that that would not apply.
