There is a shortage around the country of Glock 20SFs. Several people have had to wait 8 weeks to get one in the mid-west.

Sure, ammo is a bit more difficult, however in the last year ammo manufactures are starting to produce more and more 10MM. For example
Underwood just expanded their 10MM offerings. From all accounts it appears to be great ammo.

I reload 10MM for myself and always have 2000 rounds of mixed what-ever at my disposal.

Another option is to run a .40 barrel in the G20 or G29. .40 runs thru either weapon at 100% and since the frame is a bit larger, the kick is like 9MM. Not much. .40 is always available and not much money.

    I love 10MM.

    Take care

This was when I was in CA, might have just been a coincidence at the time.

Ammos not much of an issue, Im already set up to reload 9mm and .45acp. Just considering one for a hunting side arm. Not much available for poly 10mm out there, and im not much of a glock guy. may just end up with a 45 super or 460 corbon slide for my XD.

To change your 10mm glock to a .45, Glockmeister sells a slide and barrel combination for about $350 +/- . The lower frame on the 10mm and .45 are the same so magazines will interchange as well.

$350 is still pricey compared to a simple barrel change ($195) but less than a new second gun. Just a few thoughts
I don't see the glass as half full or half empty. I see a glass that is the incorrect size.

You guys got me thinking. Did not realize how simliar some of the glocks are. I have a Gen 4 G21. Do you know if I can convert that to 10mm or whatever? Also what parts are needed and do you recommend a website? Thanks in advance.

@ Evil Quint; Yes you can convert the G21 to 10mm. There is an aftermarket barrel available or you can purchase a slide and barrel combo. The barrel change is the cheapest and requires a modification of the extractor but nothing major. The second option is purchasing a slide barrel combo. This is the easiest way to go but will cost more.

There are several aftermarket barrel manufactures that make a replacement conversion; KKM (my choice), bar-sto, lone wolf, storm lake, the list goes on. Google is a wonderful thing. Call any of the companies for advice, they are very helpful.

I purchased my slide assy I used from Glockmeister.com. Service was as expected. Have fun in your build the possibilities seem endless
