Glock Gen3 Frame Modified to Accept Gen4 Magazine Release Possible?

Just a thought. Anyone think the Glock Gen3 frame can be modified/cut to accept a Gen4 magazine release. I figure that the width of the magazine well should be the same. The only issue is to cut the frame to accept the larger release button. Anyone think this is possible or have any first or second-hand info regarding this?

Never had a problem finding the mag release on my gen 3. Why fix something that isn't broken?

Because might be a lefty want to use the mag release on the other side?

He might be right handed but have trouble reaching the mag release and chooses not to flip the gun to reach it, but rather engage the magazine release with his trigger finger?

More than one way to skin a cat.

What works for you may not be optimal for someone else.

          LOL.

If I was a lefty I would in fact keep the mag release where it is at and use my trigger finger during a reload...but again, I am not everybody.

I agree, love ambi releases just for that reason. It was hell going from my XD to CZ's. Everytime I break down my CZ I forget to swap the mag release on it.

My God given small hands require the pistol to be twisted before I'm able to reach it with my thumb. Though I've grown accustomed to this, I can't help but feel my mag releases could be quicker.

im left handed and i bought the vickers tango down mag release and it made it alot easier to drop the mag out with out having to adjust my grip. if your left handed i would highly recommend that release. it doesn't interfere with anything and looks factory

You may have to put a BAD lever on it.

Its not an AR and this is the pistol section, Magpul fanboys are in the rifle section.

Try the JP release. I had one when I ran my G34 for Limited-Minor and 3 gun because I had the same issue as you.

It puts a big *** paddle on the release. Brownells has 'em.

It wouldn't matter on a Gen 3 because you can't modify the mag release spring to release the mag if pushed in from the right side of the frame (that a lefty would do).

You're right. The spring only sweeps one way on a Gen 3. Touche!

Here is the one I own.
