Glock Gen3 Frame Modified to Accept Gen4 Magazine Release Possible?

Just a thought. Anyone think the Glock Gen3 frame can be modified/cut to accept a Gen4 magazine release. I figure that the width of the magazine well should be the same. The only issue is to cut the frame to accept the larger release button. Anyone think this is possible or have any first or second-hand info regarding this?

I haven't compared the two magazine releases side by side, but I do know the frame can be cut to accept different sized releases. There is a round one that is sold that requires the frame to be cut.

Instead of doing something permanent like that, have you looked into the mag releases that just have a larger head on the end?
