My one stop gun for fun accurate shooting has always been a 1911 45ACP based model. I see you have one of those too.

How do you compare it against that?
            Thank you,

They are two different beast, it's too hard for me to compare the two. Accuracy wise both pistols are accurate. I would like to say the CZ SP01 is on par with the 1911 but I dont want to hear any "1911 is the most accurate pistol ever made ". I like that I can get a higher grip on my CZ SP01 vs 1911. Im left handed so the 1911 punishes my right thumb when extracting brass vs. the CZ SP01 no pain at all. The all steel frame on the CZ SP01 does an better job soaking up the recoil but then again it's not 45ACP. My best advice would be to go and rent one so you can try it out for yourself. I will tell you that the CZ kicks arse when it comes to buying ammo: 100rds for $20 vs 50rds for $18

Congrats on the CZ. I also own the SP-01, it handles and shoots great.

Soon I will be looking for a local place to have some trigger / hammer work done.

Where are you located? If you're in San Diego, they had one left @ Iron Sights when I got mine a couple of days ago. Everyone else was saying about four months out.

I have had my SP01 for a couple years now and have about 1800 rounds through it. Great gun. Only mod so far is a 15lb mainspring to lighten the DA. I started shooting USPSA with it. Next mod might be the competition sights.

Almost all of the SP01 here on the forum was
cheaper than what I got it for. I got mine for
around $850 out the door. I use it for to shoot
IPSC production, nice gun. Shoots pretty flat.
it wasn't that cheap for how much I got it but
                                it was well worth it.
                                .

"and God said let there be VTEC. And then there was
a great earthquake. The seas boiled and the skies fell...

All fell silent as the roar of 5,600RPM echoed across the earth"
