      I have a 26, but I like the 19 more.

Ok I shot both today and I liked the 26 a lot but for right now the 19 is better for me. If and when I get my CCW I will get the 26. I was actually surprised at how good the XD9 felt in my hands and it was hard to say no to it. But I don't have any XD9 high cap mags only Glock. I am going to go on the 11th to buy it since I leave for vacation on the 14th and return the 21st. On my way home fri the airport I can swing by and pick up the gun

One thing you will find is that the 19 is easier to draw than the 26. Being able to get all your fingers around the grip makes for a much surer hold. I have to kind of grope for my 26 when drawing it.

The 26 is a great little gun, but unless you are pocket carrying, it's smaller than it needs to be for ccw.

I have narrowed my next purchase to a compact 9mm and I am having a hard time to decide between a Glock 26/19 or the XD 9mm Sub Compact. Anyone here have a Glock 26? Thoughts? Opinions? Should I go with the Glock 19 to be more versatile? I am looking for a pistol to be my main bug out gun and something I can take when I camp. Anything and everything is welcomed, thanks..
I don't know much abot the XD, so I cannot help there.

Regarding G26 or G19, IMHO, if you have a CCW permit (not many of us can have it here in PRK), then G26. If not, the G19. If rails is a must, then G19.

One suggestion: Get a G19, have the butt of the frame cut down to G26 size (Arizona Response Systems can do that job) anf you have the best of both G19/G26.
