    Back from Springfield Custom Shop

I just got my Springfield Armory 1911 back from the Custom Shop and had to share a few quick pics. Since the gun was already there for some warranty work I decided to let them do some upgrades. Pardon the quality- I loaned out my camera so these are taken will my iPhone...

    Before

Will O'hara had already done the ramp polish, trigger job, fiber front sight and adjustable rear sight installation

    After

Beadblast finish on stainless, Armory Coat Slide and components

New barrel flush cut to bushing with 11 degree crown, locking bushing, rounded edges

    Serrated slide top

Colt style high grip and 25lpi checkering

S&A Magwell -already blended by Will O'Hara but had Custom Shop round the rear butt

It looks just plain beastly and the extra heft up front does help manage recoil a bit better. Plus, an angel told me that when God called JMB to heaven it was to build him a full rail 1911!

What was the final cost and how long was the wait?

              Nice!
Springfield's custom shop is REALLY underrated/overlooked.
The prices are really reasonable too.
I'm curious to know what the turn around time was as well?
              Thanks!

That pistol looked great before you sent it off but what a difference. Very nice.
