    Compact/sub compact 9mm

Im looking for a smaller sized 9mm to buy on monday and these are my requirements for this pistol:
    -semi automatic
    -under 450 out the door
    -brand new
    -5x6.5 inches or less

Id prefer a double stacked mag but a mag with at least 10rd capability. Need it to be brand new so i can split the total into two payments over the course of a week won't work for a consignment gun.
What do you guys suggest? Cheers! Adam

By "out the door", you mean that would include tax and DROS, right?

    'Coz I got nothing.

Springfield XD9c at Turners right now for 399. Shouldn't be too much more than 450 OTD.

        Some cheaper guns are:

        S&W Sigma
        Hi Point
        Ruger

Might want to use Gun Genie to see what the best price there is out the door (be sure to call any dealers to make sure that is the final price before you order).

The XD is your only option at the $399 sale price. Maybe a Ruger in that price range but I wouldn't want it.

Just save up another C-note and get the best, a G19. It'll be the best $100 you ever spent.

do not forget to go look into the used market
most shooters do not shoot enough to really "break" a gun

But yes I would agree with other posters
              Glock 19=compact
              Glock 26=subcompact

I would go find a buddy that have some of the options you want to try or a range that does and go shoot them

You should be able to get a Ruger SR9c for around $380 or so, plus taxes, etc. This should meet your OTD requirements. Excellent gun.

There are other great choices, but none which meet your combination of requirements.

Sig P250 compact would fit your bill, lots of places have them for under $400

                    LOL
at least 10 rd = at most 10 rd in CA

why specifically on Monday? do you turn 21 then?

In your price range you're sorta limited, especially for compacts... The three mentioned are your best bets in terms of new pistols: XD9c, SR9c, P250c. The hipoint c9 is more or less a compact at 3.5" barrel.

Being in CA, some of the cheaper brands (Kel-Tec P11, SKYY CPX1, various Taurus compacts, Bersa Thunder, Cobra Patriot, Jimenez JA9) aren't on the Certified Roster.

I do agree 100% with you
It is nice to have the ability to take something higher for when the law is changed or when you go out of state

See, you put it in a much clearer context.
P250 is avail in 15 rd, XD9c avail win 13 and 19 rnd.

You are severely limiting your choices with that price range IMO. XD seems like the clear choice unless you like something else. The best two double stack 9mm are the G26 and M&P9c, both of which are ~$500 new and ~$575 OTD.

The other option is forget about having exactly 10 rounds and grab a kel Tec PF9 thru SSE or just buy a LC9/CW9.

Taurus Millenium Pro and some of their other sub-compacts are on the roster. They're actually pretty darn good guns, despite what Taurus bashers will tell you.

Kel-Tec isn't on the roster but is priced so inexpensively that you can single shot exempt one (table rock arms or a local FFL that does SSE's) and still come at $350 to $400 out the door. P-11 is double stack and holds 10 rounds. If you leave the state there's a 12 round mag.

Or spend a little more, get a glock, and have a 33rnd repair kit for out of state use. 33rnd>>19rnd
