SVI and STI both have great reputations. For reason. I would absolutely LOVE an SVI... probably will never be able to justify that kind of price for a handgun though, so one day I'll end up with a Dan Wesson.

Although it's not the gun I would get from them, I do think the design of the Tiki is pretty cool , including the crazy (and definitely innovative!) sight system.

Can't quite find a pic of how they align, but I think it's understandable from this one. The dots on the front "sight" (sights?) go on the outside of the dots on the rear, at the exact same height.



OR, you can just look down the center groove.

...since every gun is totally custom, you can get it in single stack or double stack, stainless, not stainless, titanium (frame and slide), etc etc etc etc any one of hundreds of choices. Good stuff.

I guess I'm old school - I have always thought Wilson Combat & Les Baer were absolutely IT. Probably stems from the incredible Ichiro Nagata photography in American Handgunner when I first got really interested in handguns in the late 1980s. Of course, I've never had my grubby paws on a $2K+ handgun, so it's all just gun porn to me....

From what I remember there were 2 or 3 colt 1911 100 year anniversary specials that were auctioned off early in the year. They auctioned off for like 70k; 40k and not sure on the other one.
