The word cute comes to mind, but can't bring myself to like it. Just not rich enough. I wish I was one of you guys who don't think twice about dropping 8 bills on a novelty. I guess Im wasting 45 hour minimum of my life a week, plus 10 hours of driving. Would take a snubnose 5 shot in an ankle holster or jacket pocket for a bug if I was that worried about carrying a backup. That thing looks like a back up gun's back up.

Good lord, that thing would pack a whollop when popping it off even ported! I would LOVE to own one at only $300 or so though.Comment

The make it in 9mm as well. In fact the website implies the barrel assemblies for the different calibers are interchangeable.
BTW, It's a good bet the barrel is not titanium but has a stainless steel sleeve. The website only claims the frame is made of titanium or aluminum. Ti alloys are wonderful materials and have a lot of uses but it is not a good material for a barrel.Politicians and criminals are moral twins separated only by legal fiction.Comment

I called Heizer today and spoke to them (him) at length about thier Double Tap gun. For starters he's very opinionated and not very personable for being in sales, if you want to call it that.
When asked about the calibers, he's 100% for the 45 over the 9mm. He admits this isn't a range gun and it would hurt the webbing of your hand if shot it repeatedly.
He also says the 9mm is not bad to shoot, and the 45 is hard on the hand, and as such suggest only the ported model if going with the 45. He also said (when asked) that the ported model must be shot from full arms length to avoid burn marks to the face (yikes~).
With that, I'm really sold on the 9mm in a non-ported configuration. Lastly, he stated due to some new technology, there is very little loss of kinetic energy from the porting, i.e. from a 45 acp it goes from 779 FPS down to 729 FPS (or there about) it was right at 50 feet per second loss on with a 45 caliber.
Hope this helps some of you out there that are considering this weapons as well.Comment
