Factory price costs a little over $600.

Or, you can get what everyone else has, and defend it and promote it, all the time wishing you had spent a couple extra bucks.......and had avoided the kaboom worry.

        Glock for factory ammo

        Glock 21 for larger hands
Glock 21SF for medium to smaller hands
if you are never going to shoot 1 round or more of reloaded ammunition.

I most likely will get the I shoot reloads all the time, no problem responses,
do a search on unsupported glock 45 chambers and decide for yourself.( and aftermarket barrels sometimes interfere with the glocks unfailing reliability).

if you are going to shoot reloads get a XD 45, it has a fully supported chamber and conventional rifling. They are pretty reliable, still might have to clean mud out of the gun to shoot it (have not tested the springfields to that extent).
Good luck, don't get a 1911 (save them all for me, I'm a collector)
shooting a Glock is pure fun

Where do you find one for that price?

Lowest I found was $499, and the 2011 model for $599.

              Thx

Glock 21SF. I have owned the Glock 21. But my hands are medium size. Feels much better when I got the 21SF.

I like the RIA 1911A1....But I haven't had the best experience with them. Too finicky. I'm just outright spoiled by Glock's reliability out of the box. Will probably never own a 1911 again of any make, or model.

If I buy anything S&W, it'll be their wheelguns. I have never been fond of their semi-autos. But then again, these are just my personal choices. Rent a bunch and see what he shoots with best. But save the Glock for last to test.
