Ohhh.. nooo.. please don't light that match.....

Both are great guns. Go test them out and see which you like better. Personally I think the ergos on the Beretta are better but not much better than the glock. It just depends on what you like.

      BBBBOOOMMM..!...LOL..too late ..!

      LOL

I have both. I prefer the GLOCK. I just shoot it better and it runs and runs and runs forever.

But my Stainless Beretta is nice LOOKING...but if I had to Bug out with one handgun, the GLOCK 17 would be with me.

I voted G17 but you might also look at the G19.

I have owned many of both, Just bought a 92fs centurion and a glock 19 gen 4. So either way you will not go wrong.

I'd have to vote for evil black plastic on this one.

I've narrowed down my fruit selections to two:

                  An Apple

                  and

                  An Orange.

Both are great for entirely different reasons.

Both can be had for the 400-500$ mark if you look around.

Since this is CA, both are capped at 10 rds unless you have old mags already, or are special in some way.

                  Beretta is heavier than glock.

                  Glock has polygonal rifling.

Beretta has a hammer, glock has striker.

Beretta has a safety and a decocker, glock has neither (the latter is moot due to striker).

They both feel worlds apart in the hand, so see which feels right. The heavier beretta will eat up some recoil, but on a 9mm that's not much of a worry anyhow.

Glock has 4 generations plus an intermediary version or two that you can pick from if it's just the 17. Beretta has a whole load of variations from stainless to heavy slide to DAO, to decocker-only.

Both have compensators available after-market, and silencers (if you move out of state, these can be fun).

Swap the barrels on either and you'll have a more accurate gun.

Mags are similarly priced if you know where to shop.

It comes down to YOUR preference. You want something lightweight, with damn-near free repairs (if you're part of the GSSF) at events, and a bit sharper recoil; then go glock. You don't mind a bit of extra heft, but love you some aesthetics and interchangeable grips, then get the beretta.

I like the beretta, so I got one; I'll probably get a glock next (since I have access to fun revolvers already).

Can't stand my Beretta 92FS INOX...Bought it because it looked beautiful...

I hate the mushy trigger and it's safety & heft.

Give me a Glock any day and twice on Sunday's. If you get a 3rd gen Glock 17 I'll trade you if you don't like it.

I have both. The 92fs is a much nicer looking gun but if my life depended on either a G17 or a 92fs, I'd go with the G17.

I was just looking at those two (or maybe it was the Glock 19) and chose the Beretta (92FS).

I based the decision on what I tell others to do when it comes to many handheld things (tools, for example, because what's a gun but a tool?) what do your HANDS tell you?

Get the Beretta... you don't want to be "one of those guys"
