I don't see anything special with it except maybe the add on mag funnel and a trigger job. At the most $1K and that's being generous. It doesn't even have front strap checkering. A fair price for that would be $850 for a 45acp and if it's a 40 or 9mm maybe $1000 to $1200. Got one heck of a buddy there.

I just purchased the same exact gun but BRAND NEW for $1100 OTD. Could have found one cheaper but I just wanted it to be brand new and from my local store.

There is nothing on that gun to make it be worth $2000, unless he is hiding 3/4 oz of gold in there somewhere.

I might pay 800 for it. He's off his rocker if he thinks that gun is worth 2 grand though. The only way that gun is ever going to be worth 2 grand is if he gets it dipped in gold.

Mine has this same finish, but has the novak sights and no mag funnel. I bought it used on gunbroker for $650. Not to mention the guy threw in a kydex holster and mag pouch!

I would add 75 for tritium sights, offer him 900, what type of sights though?

Also, add one more thing to the function check: Since it's a springfield, the hammer has on extra "safety notch" just before the end of the travel forward to the firing pin. Hold the hammer, pull the trigger and hold it down. Then "walk" the hammer forward. You should feel no resistance or "catching" all the way down to the firing pin. If you feel a little catch towards the end, the grip safety probably wasn't fit correctly.
