-Voting is like falling off your bike. Sidewalk or street. Both are painful to fall on. But, the sidewalk (Mitt) is closer to the green grass. -
There is no disagreement. Reread what I wrote.I respecfully disagree. There is just too much info on Google to say it's not Glocks issue. I know Glocked beefed up the slide thinking that was it, and I see Gen IV still does it. I guess back to the drawing board for Glock.
Honestly, after paying $500+ for a gun and it did that, I'd be pissed. But, again, I don't live at home, and money means something to me. Just saying.
Oh, and to say your glad the shooter was hurt, wow. Says a lot about you.
That's why I will not own one. Springfield XD is what I own. Do your homework boys before you buy. Info is out there, and tons of it.
Typing on this iPad is a pain. I was glad he wasn't hurt..

Oooohhhh, hater-aid. Yum.
Lots of guys who've never owned a Glock who read a bunch of hater-aid online spreading it even further.
Feed bad ammo into your gun, fail to inspect or catch a micro fracture that the quality control missed that's turned into a crack, and it goes Kaboom! Doesn't matter what brand name is in the side of it. Search for more then a minute for a particular brand of gun online and you'll find a photo of a Kaboom.Last edited by tacticalcity; 10-06-2011, 10:40 PM.Comment

Well you've trained me to just see your name, see the subject is about Glocks, and assume you're bashing them bud. It's like Pavlov's bell!
I don't blame people for liking what has worked extremely well for them in the past. You dig CZs because they've been good to you. I have very little exposure to them. So I haven't formed an opinion other than that I tend to avoid DA/SAs when possible due to being dissatisfied with several other brands versions of them. I like Glocks for the same reason. They've served me really well.
Sorry here one of your guns kaboomed on you. Always a bummer if not scary thing to see happen. Never had one kaboom on me (knock on wood) but seen guns Kaboom on others. Always turned out to be ammo related. Not fun for anyone involved.
Funny (as in sad but ironic) true story from Front Sight.
Guy gets told during check in inspection that he can't use his giant bin of self reloads. They remind him this was clearly spelled out to him when he signed up for the course. Reluctantly he makes his way to the pro shop to buy ammo for the day. He then takes the store bought ammo to his trunk and puts the reloads back into his duffel bag. The course goes on for a little bit, then the worst happens. His gun kabooms! He's lucky. He's fine. The gun is destroyed. Everything stops for a bit. They get him off the line. Then after a clam down period he says he wants to continue but only brought one gun. So they loan him a rental gun (not knowing at this point this was his fault and that he broke the rules and used his own reloads). They give him their little spiel about no reloads again, which is standard procedure. Unwilling to believe his reloads are too blame, he uses them in the rental gun. Sure enough, Murphy's law wins again. Kaboom! There goes the rental gun. Only this time he is hurt and needs to be medivaced to the hospital. So in order to save money on ammo now he lost his own gun, has to pay Front Sight for their gun that he destroyed, has to pay for a very expensive helicopter ride to the hospital, has to pay his hospital bills, and at the very least has some permanent scaring (they didn't say how badly he was injured). If you ask me, those were some very expensive reloads.Last edited by tacticalcity; 10-06-2011, 11:01 PM.Comment

I dont "hate" on glocks, I just think there are other pistols out there is all that match certain people better. Believe me, I wish glocks worked for me, I shoot them great, and the aftermarket is awesome, but they just dont work for me.
As for the blowin up CZ, CZ USA is making it right. There is a huge backlog on CZ75SA's, so Im trading up to a CZ SP01 Tactical w/nite sites and decocker. Makes me happy since I can get back into production with it a bit easier.Sandstorm Custom Rifle Slings : Custom Paracord slings

Kinda reminds me of that commercial where the wife says "upgrade" and her dorky husband turns into Fabio. Ever since I say that commercial when ever I get an upgrade I hear her voice in my head saying "upgrade!"
Yes, I watch too much TV. I used to work in advertising research. My job was to watch commercials all day, and know which competitors and/or other agencies might want to purchase those commercials so they could remain competitive and or protect their brand. Made decent money during the dot com boom. Agencies were rolling in money. YouTube sure killed that nitch industry! Got into another line of work long before that happened though. Still, I can't help but pay attention to the commercials. I've been conditioned to do so.

Steel gun kabooms arent nearly as bad luckily. Just blew the mag out, and the slidestop went flying. Was having some problems before that with casings blowing, just though it was a batch of old brass, turns out the barrel was out of spec.
Man, I couldnt do that. I cant even watch TV without it being TIVO'd so I can fast forward the commercials.Sandstorm Custom Rifle Slings : Custom Paracord slings

They are kabooming because of the ammo or user error you Neanderthal. All guns will. You wonder why there are apparently "more" Glock kabooms? Maybe because there are millions more sold than XDs.
Sigh.....
Last weekend Steve was firing .45 ACP loaded Corbon 185 grain bullets from his Springfield XDM.Steve said in an email to me (emphasis added) …The crack looks small, but when you disassemble the weapon, it doesn’t want to go back together.I also think that the extractor is bent or damaged.
I could keep going....

nice lookin paperweight! good thing Springfield has their warrantyDon't forget you can get it too....FOR A PRICE!!Comment

Sounds like dude didnt know how to reload very well. For everyone person who blows up a gun with crap reloads, there are thousands of people that know what they are doing, and have no issues with there loads.Funny (as in sad but ironic) true story from Front Sight.
