I don't own a current manufactured Glock in .45acp but owning a G34, G17 a G19 Glock has taken care of the unsupported area in these guns. The KKM barrel in my G17 is fully supported, the same as the factory barrel. Measuring them with calipers they are the exact same barrel. Even in accuracy testing they were mostly equal with an edge going to the factory barrel. The reason why I got it was because it has standard rifiling, to shoot LSWC bullets otherwise it would have the factory barrel in it now.

Now the other models might be different. I was picking up brass from a fellow shooter that did not want his spent casings yesterday. Don't know the model but it was a .40 S&W Glock and the brass had huge bulges in it. It is possible it was an older model but I did not ask.

Not to side track the thread but does anyone have picts of a new factory barrel compared to an older example? The OP said the gun was newer so it might be interesting to compare the unsupported areas of new production to the older models.

I heard that too, also heard that shooting a single reload will do the same thing. I'll bet it left a crater, man. Those Glocks are just no good, they're made of plastic.

Sounds like a double charge. Steel case ammo will not void the Glock warranty. Give them a call, but they'll likely send you to Tula for reimbursement.
