    From experience: XD9?

Thinking of picking up a used one, but its not really what I want.
Price seems fair, and still waiting for pics.

I shot one a while back.
    Felt good.

In the long run, HD grab 'n go weapon?

    Any cuss words?

    Thanks.

Nice pistol but not my first choice. Didn't really like the trigger much either, but that's probably easily fixed. My friend has one and its been very reliable.

Feels cheap to me and the chambered round indicator is a pile.

I'd go with a glock or m&p over the XD any day.

Thats what I wanted was an M&P.
          I'll save my cash.

          Thanks!

i feel the complete opposite. Cant stand the M&P trigger, or the cheap feeling of a glock.

Like others have said, "feels cheap" and off balance compared to the M&P and glock. I would go with an M&P or Glock over the xd any day of the week.

+1! Save your cash and get the M&P. They are in short supply right now but they will come back. Well worth the wait IMO.

I love my XD9. I'd trust it with my life. Never failed me except when my brother shot it and limp wristed like a mofo. I feel more comfortable with the XD than the G19 due to the ergonomics.

I won't say what to get and what not to get. I will say get what you want. It will make you much happier in the long run.

If you settle for less, you'll know what I'm talking about when you end up selling what you didn't want in the first place, to pay more for what you did want in the first place.

The trigger break/snap is on par for a defensive pistol ~5-7lbs.
It's the pre-travel most people do not like, yep it is a little longer than liked, even for a defensive pistol (bore also slightly high).
A trigger kit/job helps big time, and makes it one sweet gun
Major factor with the XD is the grip angle is very close to a 1911.

My sub compact 9mm XD was the first gun that I shot really well with and was absolutely in love with from the very first shot. I bought it new in 2005.Its bone stock other than Pierce grip extentions and I have about 5000 rounds through it with zero malfunctions.I have shot a lot of IDPA with it and its my EDC piece. I like the factory trigger and have never had any issues with the so called pile of a chambered round indicator.

I sold my Beretta 92 that I hated to get my 9mm tactical XD.I picked it up in Jan. and have about 1000 trouble free rounds through it.

I shot just about every flavor of Glock made before I got my XD,and honestly I hated them all. They felt cheap and I didnt like the way any of them fit my hand or shot.Im not gonna say they are junk, they just dont fit me.

Only prob I have with Glock is the snake bite, I like the sig and M&P beaver tail.
