Stick with Gen 3 for any .40 Glock. (unless you can PPT or Singleshot Exemption a 22, 23, 27 or 35 Gen 4) Which will be slightly more money.

I love my G23...so does the FBI, they recently bought 2800 of them!

The G35, while being a larger version (that will run a preban 15 rounder) and not really suitable for concealed carry, is a HOOT to shoot. Really a tack-driver and comes stock with a lighter trigger and adjustable sites.

The Glock 27 sub compact with a magazine extension makes for a neat carry weapon as well.

You can never have too many GLOCKS.! Keep that in mind.
May the Bridges I burn light the way.

Life Is Not About Waiting For The Storm To Pass - Its About Learning To Dance In The Rain.

Fewer people are killed with all rifles each year (323 in 2011) than with shotguns (356), hammers and clubs (496), and hands and feet (728).

Compacts are nice but I shoot better with a full size. My preference is the G22 (also have G27). I shoot a Missouri State Highway Patrol Gen 2 with nightsights and 15rd mags! I also shoot a Gen 3 in GREEN. One of these days I will convert to a Gen 4... but you know, there are more important shiny objects in my way (like my wife )

                Ok...to clarify a few things:

                1) In reference to what "gangstas" call "9mm Luger":

                a) The more "educated"(I use that very loosely) will usually refer to them as "9 miluh-meter bullets". They still ask "do 9 mm Luger work in a 9 milluh-meter?".
                b) The less refined will just say "9 bullets"
                c) Various other versions of slang for 9mm Luger such as "Nina Dum Dums" , "Nina Ross",

I even had one individual at my gun counter say during the ammo shortage:

"Dayum, ya'll ain't got no 9 bullets....what's that over there..Foe(4) Fie(5)[More on that later ] Colt...well foe(4) plus fie(5) equal nein(9, spelled for the way he said it), so let me git dem right therr." I'm not kidding, and he didn't get any ammo.

                2) In reference to .40S&W:

                a) I usually get " Lemme get some foady(Forty) cal bullets". However, when I ask what kind of gun it's for out of curiosity, and get an answer, it's usually " a Foady(40) Glock" or "a Glock Foady". Rarely in the Bay Area does someone say "Glock Fo-Tay" unless they're making fun of the people I'm referencing. To make things worse, everything in .40 S&W, seems to be a "Foady Glock".

I had a guy tell me he had a "Foady Glock XD". It turned out to be an XD in .40S&W.

                3) In reference to .45 ACP:

It's always "Foe(4)-Fie(5) bullets". Sometimes, it's "foe fie auto bullets"

                4) Most other calibers are just Number + Bullets (example "lemme git dem 380 bullets".

                5) Hollow points are always "Hollow Tips", or "Dum Dum Bullets" or something else that was mentioned on a rap song.

There's more, but I've gotten way off topic.

Dum-Dum goes WAY back... it's been used to refer to JHP since probably the original gangstas that carried violin cases.

I tested Glock, XD, M&P side by side.
In my own opinion Glock out runs other two pistol by far.
                          2nd is XD.
3rd is M&P It feels good in your hand when you grab it but something is not right when you shooting it.
                          So buy glock with confidence.

Another way of looking at the different classes of Glock pistols is by the length of the barrel:

                                Subcompact: < 4 in
                                Compact: 4 in
                                Standard: 4.5 in
                                Competition: > 5 in
