Of the Glock like triggers the Glock has the shortest reset. That means it allows the least amount movement of the trigger finger in order to reset the trigger after a round was fired. Less finger movement means less hand movement which means less sight movement. In other words, the shorter the reset the better. There is a big difference between "banned" and "off-roster"
"Banned" would include any number of handguns that the California legislature has ruled are assault weapons (even though they are simply semi-automatic pistols). Unless registered at the time of the ban, it is a felony to simply possess them.
Off-roster guns are simply guns that California has not ruled to be "not unsafe". They can be imported by new residents, they can be purchased new by cops, and they can be purchased by ANY individual via PPT from another person who already has one in the state.
They may also be transferred into the state via intrafamilial gift through an FFL.- Rich
