I have the G36 with night sights. Great gun and easy to control. With the +1 extension, it is 7+1 like a standard 1911 mag. However it is lighter and thinner. I liked it mostly because of the feel. It feels a great deal like my G17 due to the single stack grip width. If you are seriously considering it, I would suggest renting one and shooting it. I recently bought a kimber warrior two and like the fact I can get 10 round mags. Not sure why Glock doesn't make an extension for a 10 round capability. Accurate, light and thin. Just my opinion and if I didn't live in California, I would carry it.
