what is the point in the AR pistol? if you ask me other than the cool factor they are kind of pointless. so why do so many people want one? is there any practical reason behind them or is it just the coolness factor?

I personally like mine because they were the first guns I 'Built' Myself and now I'm a free-stater so I can SBR it if I want to do so
