    AR pistol why?

what is the point in the AR pistol? if you ask me other than the cool factor they are kind of pointless. so why do so many people want one? is there any practical reason behind them or is it just the coolness factor?
That punk pulled a Glock 7 on me. You know what that is? It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. Dosen't show up on your airport X-ray machines, here, and it cost more than you make in a month.

It's the closest you can get to an SBR here in Cali.

Owning an AR pistol has to listed under: coolness factor.

      Firing an AR pistol: novelty.

I've asked myself this question many a time as well.

So glad I'm not the only CalGunner who doesn't get it.

Because we cannot have SBRs, and they are the closest thing to them.

                  Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Why not. It's something to have in the collection. Plus I have shooting them.

EXACTLY! Another reason why: they're just plain fun to shoot. The amd65 pistol was fun to build but now I'd like to have an AR pistol with a buffer tube ("NOT a butt stock") on the back of it.

And let's be realistic here, they make great Zombie guns.

As has been said, SBR potential and - for all those SHTF topic lovers, or if I move from CA - there is always the potential day to come where I can slap a stock on it and have an SBR and not have to go seeking out an SBR as I am about 99% there already.

As well, compact, small, lighter weight, easier to wield.... my pistol is the fav of my 3 ARs.

Coolness or as a political statement. To those who never wanted us to have things like an AR pistol, we say, "Yes we can!"

Open carry? or if you live in a free state or have a CCW You can try to conceal it I personally like mine because they were the first guns I 'Built' Myself and now I'm a free-stater so I can SBR it if I want to do so
