if your going to go for a really good shooter, then get the RIA match, best deal on a 1911 you can get. its somewhere around 600, but you get the fiber sights, and its hand fitted. the tacticals are good deals to, enough so that after buying my SA loaded, i ended up with two tacticals, one in 45 and one in 9mm.

Oops, did not see your follow-up post that you have a Gold Cup. How about another brand and another caliber like a springfield armory 1911 9mm.
I forgot to add that I already have a 1911 9mm. Having so much guns, I forget which one I already have.

I love my Sig 1911 Rail. Whatever you do, I do suggest getting the beavertail, much more comfortable to shoot imo.

Another one for the Sig. Great fit and finish!

Kimber is also a great option.

Send a PM to Gumby. He has a NIB Rock Island Tactical 1911 that he is selling for $400. Unfired and comes with all the goodies. You won't find a better deal.

SW1911. Everyone seems to be afraid of the external extractor. Just get one in your hands and you'll know why. Made in the U.S.A. 100%

I shot the custom II yesterday.. Great feel good trigger.. The finish and over all look of the gun wasnt the prettiest...

wasnt up to my standard of a 1911 but it does have a good feel to it.. Shot the 45 like it was a 9mm.
