This must be proof then that Glocks are the best handguns in the world














I could see them being a great cockpit sidearm not to compact light weight and good capacity.

Special Forces got them this year. My son says he and his buddies hated the Beretta, called it a pos (don't shoot the messenger, please...)

I played around with a couple of M9s in my active duty days. There were a lot of malfunctions and it's all because of a faulty magazine. Of course most of the operators will just blame the gun. One thing is nice about the Beretta/M9s that every pistol that was issued to me for qualification purposes scored perfect. The combat arms instructor thought I was missing my shots at the nearest distance, but they were all going into a nice 2" raggedy hole. With a Glock, I'm not so sure if I can do the same. Maybe a 4" raggedy hole, lol. Not to crap on Glock accuracy. I just never mastered the trigger on any Glock.

- RED HORSE (in theater)

I probably forgot somebody, but out of those groups I should have most of the AF covered. Now who is going to get the Glocks, is another story entirely. I would guess OSI.

I can't see security using a compact Glock for guard duty, not in the U.S. anyway. I'd be more inclined to think it was for the pilots since it's smaller than a full size.

i know the seals use them some times due to the underwater firing pin (fires 6ft under water) i think my buddy at MARSOC said they have glocks in the amory but 99% of SOCOM units have options for the Operators when it comes to side arms.

Glock offers different spring cups, but that doesn't change them firing under water or how far they fire.

Glock took over LE market several years ago. And for a good reason. I am issued one and own three. Most peoply who I know , carry a Glock , a 92FS or a short barrel S&W revolver.

At the range , on a weekend ,we can play with anything . When You pack everyday its a different story. Got to use what works for You and what WORKS in the first place. Glocks REALLY work.

This isn't exactly new. I don't know a single fighter pilot who doesn't already carry a Glock. I may be wrong, but they appear to have had significant popularity in the Air Force as far back as Desert Storm. As a matter of fact, one of the semi hilarious stories of Desert Storm was a single US pilot shot down... and the Iraq squad that shot him down... more than 100 of them... surrendered when he drew his Glock.
