STI 1911?

I'm still looking for my first 1911. I've got it down to a couple of choices, Springfield TRP Operator, MC Operator, and Offlist Sig Tac Operations. Recently I discovered a small company out in Texas called STI. Theres not much info and reviews online. I was wondering if any of u guys had experience with their handguns. They seem like a alight price for what u get. I might consider doing the One Shot Conversion of the Duty One model but I'm just not too sure at the moment due to lack of user info.....

STI is not small at all. But good luck getting any in CA.


They are huge with the USPSA/steel competition shooters.

I dont have any experience with them but I heard Tracy Rifle & Pistol can get them, they are out in Tracy.

Yeah I think they have one in .40 in stock but I haven't been out there to look...its kinda far from where I at.

STI is the choice of the top shooters in USPSA/Steel Challenge and 3 gun.

If they are the only place that can get you an STI then you do what you have to do.

STI is the MOST famous brand among ISPC/IDPA/USPSA competition shooters.

I bought my TruBor GM in .38Super before moving back to Cali.

If you have the money and want the best-of-the-best, then consider the TruBor, TruborGM or MatchMaster.

I think you might be better off buying a Springfield or Para gun before getting a STI. That way you'll really appreciate how the STI shoots after experiencing a Springfield. You know, like getting a VW jetta as your first car so you'll appreciate a Porsche 911 later.

Yeah, STI's are all right price for what you get.
