    Draco questions

So I have been trying to do some research on Dracos as I really want to get one. My understanding is that you buy them as single shots, but are free convert them to 10 rounds with a BB.

So now I am trying to research what kinda dracos are out there and where to buy. Which just brings up more questions.

What manufacture make dracos besides century?

Any specic things I should look for in a draco?

Are there different models of dracos like there are for Aks and sks?

I basically want to know all there is about dracos

    Thanks in advance

If you're talking specifically about Dracos not any other AK pistols then yes, the importer is Century Arms

Besides finish they should all be the same. The older imports had "trigger/FCG issues". Mine has a stock FCG without any issues.

Draco Champion in 5.56. I haven't seen one yet

I basically want to know all there is about dracos

    Thanks in advance

I just got one at Tracy rifle and pistol. My understanding is it has to stay a single shot till u move out of state. Mine is a century. I have 8 more days till it's out of jail can't wait.

I also got mine there. No it doesn't have to stay that way. If you've got 10 rnd mags you're good to go. When you pick it up they'll show you the procedure to convert it to a regular semi auto 10 round pistol.

I know there is the draco and the draco-c. The draco-c comes with the underfolding rear trunion. The draco-c does not come with a cleaning rod and has a barrel about 1/8" shorter than the regular draco.

Nope. As the poster a couple above me said, once you pick up the gun you can convert it to a 10 round fixed mag with bullet button.

And I'm sure it can't be purchased in San Diego or California without any barrel extension.

You can convert it to semi auto once the transfer is completed. In California.

It's not a regular semi auto pistol though be careful in telling people that. And the shop shouldn't be doing this for you either. That gets into the grey world of what is manufacturing. Remember you told the DOJ that you have a single shot pistol not a semi auto one.

What you are technically allowed to do after your 10 days is to replace the single shot sled with a magazine of no more than 10 rounds, the bullet button must stay.

                    Thanks for the info guys

So basically there are only 2 types of AK pistols the Draco and the drako-c? Are these both make fro
                    Romanian parts(WASR)?

Also regarding the single to semi conversion. Is there anything that needs to be done besides add a fixed 10 round mag (with existing BB)?

Also does the drake accept normal ak mags/drums (single and double stack). I assume it would but wanna make sure.

                    Thanks fellas

There are more than 2 AK pistols.
However, the Draco C he mentioned is not a pistol it is an SBR.

Are these both make fro Romanian parts(WASR)? It is Romanian not a WASR but most likely the AIMR)

It can accept a double stack mags and drums but since we're in Ca. we're limited to 10 rounds in this (pistol)configuration.

                        You're right.

Let me rephrase that: When you pick it up they will help you with your magazine issue.

So are dracos a specific brand or type of ak pistols? If so what are some other manufacures? I want to get a decent (middle grade) AK pistol, do they make such a think or are they all basically the same?

Yes it can. The barrel is still over 11" long and the draco-c is roughly the same size as the draco. Maybe 1/8" shorter. Either model can be purchased as readily as the other in CA.
